Freelance Java Developer

I'm looking for a freelance backend developer to join a tech-driven marketing team at an innovative company. You'll help build scalable, cloud-native systems that support customer acquisition through performance marketing and automation.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain backend services in a high-scale environment

Work with GCP tools like BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow and Spanner
*

Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and marketers
*

Take ownership of systems from build to monitoring

Who are you?

*

4-5+ years backend experience, 3+ years with Java (11+)
*

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform - especially tools like BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Spanner
*

Familiar with Airflow, microservices, distributed systems
*

Communicative, proactive, ownership-driven

Nice to have: DropWizard, CI/CD (e.g. Harness), containerisation, AWS

Start date: As soon as possible

Duration: 6 months (with chance of extension)

Availability: 32-40 uur per week
*

Location: Amsterdam, hybride
*

Hourly rate: Depending on experience
