Moving forward in life, that’s what Dries Schuddinck, .NET specialist at Spilberg, is all about. Keep learning, gaining experience, and building on personal goals. After three years at Spilberg, he’s confident: this is the right place. “You get real opportunities here. If you want to specialise in something new or take on more responsibility, it’s possible.”
Since joining Spilberg—the development and testing division of Vibe Group—Dries has worked on a variety of projects. From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tot the White-Yellow Cross, every assignment has brought something new. “I really enjoy the variety. Every company and every project is different. You learn a lot from that. It helps you grow—both as a developer and as a person.”
It’s clear that .NET specialist Dries is ambitious. He enjoys coding and working as a consultant—but he also wants to develop further. More responsibility. Something to aim for. For him, that means taking on a leadership role. “At my job interview, I told them straight away: I want to help grow the organisation. At another company, that might raise eyebrows, or get you a polite smile,” he laughs. “But not here.”
At Spilberg, ambition is welcomed and supported. “If you’re happy in your current role, that’s completely fine. But if you want more, Spilberg will support you.” Dries quickly became Practice Lead for the .NET community within Vibe Group. “That means I help shape the future of .NET here. The fact that I was given that responsibility showed me they take my goals seriously.”
At Spilberg, you’re encouraged to keep learning. There are training sessions to hands-on workshops. Dries appreciates that, especially as someone who enjoys learning. But ask him what really makes Spilberg stand out, and he’ll say: “The honesty and openness.” “There’s a lot of transparency here. People are respectful, open, and straightforward with each other. It really contributes to a positive working environment.”
An open culture doesn’t happen by accident. Spilberg invests in building a real sense of community among its employees. “Every month, there are a few events that bring everyone together. Sometimes for knowledge sharing—through workshops or presentations. Other times, it’s just for fun—like an escape room or dinner together.” “These moments help you connect with your colleagues. And it works—we really have a strong community feeling here.”
At Spilberg, your ambition is our priority. You grow your career, your way with the support of our IT network and community.
